POD-TO-PLATE:
A fun educational trip was organized for students of Grade 5 called ‘Pod to plate’ with the objective of gaining first-hand experience on how food reaches our plates. The children enjoyed each and every part of this trip from holding earthworms used for preparing organic manure, plant walk-through, sowing and harvesting and were delighted to know so much about the processes involved in farming, processing, and packaging of food. They enjoyed a sumptuous meal served on plantain leaf to add to the joy. This trip undoubtedly would be a memory etched on their minds forever.
