Dear Students, Teachers and Parents!

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to New Horizon Public School (NHPS) website. We have tried to create an online resource that provides all relevant information about NHPS and I hope that as you peruse through the contents of this website, you will get a sense of the rich flavour of life at our school.

“The highest education is that which does not merely give us information but makes our life in harmony with all existence.”

Educational thoughts are the basic defence for the progress and reform of a country. Our aim at NHPS is pure education, through best educational practices, curriculum designing, teacher-student relationship, and the role of teacher. Our motto is to make every individual a complete human being and provide new recommendations in the field of education.      

Teaching and learning takes place outside of the confines of the classroom walls having range of benefits for both students and instructors. When students are asked to put into practice “in the real world” what they have theorized about from behind a desk, the result is a student-centric learning experience that enhances learning and fosters personal and social development.

We get encouragement, looking at bright and successful careers of our thousands of students, who subsequently benefit the society. We feel proud that we are part of such an institute, which is shaping the future citizens.

New Horizon is an avid supporter of effective and innovative professional development that encourages teachers and principals to be reflective and to continuously examine our practice to provide quality teaching and learning for each student. We keep up with the latest trends and research and are an active partner in the school’s overall development.

Our teachers believe in the fact that the climate of the classroom should be such that errors are welcome, student engagement is the norm, questioning is high and students gain reputations as effective learners.

Community engagement, philanthropy and social involvement are important to us. At NHPS, we believe that philanthropy brings people together to support a cause that’s bigger than themselves. In a society where giving freely is common, there’s a much stronger unity and sense of belonging. We encourage community engagement in the curriculum and learning programmes through our Values Plus classes. We have witnessed a tremendous change in the value system of our students which has led to a positive outlook towards life.

The reputation, the school has acquired and established over these years is due to the dedication and selfless commitment of teachers, supporting staff, and the students. With the support of the staff and families, our students explore, express and excel academically and creatively. I appreciate the dedication and the commitment of the teachers of the past and the present and wish them all good luck.    

We enjoy celebrating successes and acknowledge hard work of students and staff and believe this is one of the contributors fundamental to a happy school. We value and appreciate everyone’s contribution at school.

With this noble sense of purpose, I request all staff, parents and well-wishers to join hands as we take NHPS to greater heights.

    Respected Madam,

    I am writing this e-mail with immense happiness and gratitude. To see Niharica improve slowly and steadily has given me a lot of confidence that she will do well in her academics even in her higher classes. She now reads very well and independently. She also remembers things better. Her writing has improved as well.

    I would like to thank you mam for your patience, understanding and encouragement. I would also thank the school management for having such a set up where the kids can be given special attention to improve in the areas that they are weak in.
