Deepavali is celebrated enthusiastically every year. We celebrate the victory of good over evil and the return of Ram from his 14-year-long exile during this festival. It is known as the ‘festival of lights’ and instils joy, hope and love in us.
The New Horizon College of Engineering, a prestigious branch of New Horizon institutions, hosted a grand Diwali carnival. The students sang songs and chatted excitedly on the bus to and from the beautifully decorated venue. The carnival rides drew much attention, and there were various stalls for food and games. Students participated enthusiastically in different games and won stuffed toys and other exciting prizes. They also devoured the delicious hot meals served at the stalls. College students set the well-equipped stage on fire with their graceful dance moves and contributed immensely to the memorable experience of the evening. Teachers, as well as students, danced energetically to the beat of the music. Exhausted but delighted, the students had the time of their lives.
A spectacular performance, accompanied by dazzling fireworks, ended the carnival on a high note. We are grateful to the teaching and non-teaching staff of the New Horizon Institution, who worked tirelessly to ensure that the students had a splendid time at the carnival.
