Om Ganeshaya Namah!
On the 22nd September, the New Horizon family had celebrated the festival by installing an extravagant clay idol in the auditorium. It was a treat to the eye watching the students in ethnic wear, as colourful as the deity’s idol itself. The festivities began with a puja followed by a stunning Invocation Dance performance by the students. The ritual of Homa was performed by the dignitaries and witnessed by the students to seek Lord Ganesha’s blessings. The toast to such a divine event was the bhajans, keertans and the instrumental melodies performed by the teachers and the students throughout the Homa. Everyone offered aarthi and flowers to Lord Ganesha and were given tilak and prasad as the lord’s blessings.
Ganesha was bid a farewell only to meet the next year for yet another happy celebration while his blessings stay with us all until then.
