Family is an epitome of love, understanding, happiness and togetherness. We at NHPS provide a platform for the families of our little ones to revel in this relationship called ‘Family’. We call this cherished togetherness as ‘Hungama’. Hungama – Phase I was a Fashion show with the theme ‘Best out of Waste’. Grandparents, parents, children, cousins, aunts, unclesrocked the ramp with outfits created out of gunny bags, milk packets, cartons, courier covers and jewellery designed from pista shells, egg trays, plastic bottle caps.
Newspapers got a new look as bangles, skirts, saris, caps, flowers and paper fans. This event was a true display of creativity at its best where one saw a plethora of waste materials being constructively re-created into materials of use.
This was an ideal platform wherein families presented the different cultures of India in the form of its varied folk dances.Dressed in their elaborate traditional attire along with beautifully hand-made crafts in the form of props, families gave astounding performances of Indian folk dances like the Kolata, Mayilattam, Karagattam, Bhangra and Gidda, Garba, Kalbeliya, Bihu and brought alive the traditions of our land.
