India is a land known for its courage, valour and heroism. Our soil is seeped with the blood and sweat of the brave and fearless heroes who have sacrificed their lives to protect our motherland. Countless efforts have been made over the years to crush India’s soul, but India’s indomitable will and spirit has always helped it emerge victorious.
On Kargil Diwas, we remember and pay tribute to the valiant soldiers who overcame harsh weather conditions, rough and difficult terrain to decisively defeat the enemy determined to take control of our territory.
When we look back in time, we realize that freedom does not come without a price. Many a times we take our freedom for granted. We forget that fact this freedom we enjoy today is because of the ultimate sacrifices made by our armed forces.
Our Indian armed forces are our nation’s true wealth and pride. They are our guardians at the border, whose very presence enables us to sleep peacefully and securely at night.
Let us not forget the supreme sacrifices made by our soldiers and the exemplary courage displayed by them.
They gave up their today for our tomorrow
They wore a smile and laid down their lives
