Mathematics is the cradle of all creations without which the world cannot move an inch. Math makes our life orderly and prevents chaos. Certain qualities that are nurtured by Math are- power of reasoning, creativity, abstract thinking and problem solving ability.
15th October is celebrated as ‘International Mathematics Day’. The day encourages students globally to take a break from standard day to day math lessons and realise the significance of math in our everyday life. With the same perspective in view, NHPS (Primary Division) has dedicated this month to Math. An incredible information on various topics related to this wonderful subject was shared through ‘Mesmerizing Math’ PPTs which included Math facts, puzzles, games and activities to educate students and to create and reinforce further interest.
“Wonderful Wednesday – Number Ninjas”- was organised on 21-10-2020 for the students of Primary Division to share the mystery of numbers and tickle the brains of the viewers and participants.
It was truly fascinating to see our smart Ninjas, who came up with ‘out of the box’ ideas to present the importance of ‘Math in daily life’…..cookery, grocery, symmetry, patterns, shapes, dance and music…Some of them donned on their hats to turn into little magicians to display cute tricks………….the list is endless.
The talent displayed by students left every spectator speechless.
It was evident that the children realised that Math holds within it many surprising facts and puzzles that have far-reaching applications in the world beyond the classroom.
‘Wonderful Wednesday’ indeed left us wondering about the mystery of Math!
