Honouring Bravery Through Little Hands and Big Hearts

At New Horizon Public School, Kargil Vijay Diwas was commemorated with deep respect, patriotic fervour, and age-appropriate understanding across all grades. The day served as a powerful reminder of the courage and sacrifice of our nation’s brave soldiers.
Students from the Primary and Secondary grades paid a heartfelt tribute through soul-stirring performances, patriotic songs, speeches, and dramatic presentations, honouring the valiant heroes of the Kargil War. Their expressive acts were a beautiful showcase of gratitude and pride for the Indian Armed Forces.
Meanwhile, our youngest learners in the pre-primary section engaged in creative and meaningful activities that blended patriotism with art and imagination.
🔸Play School – Tiny hands came together to create a vibrant tricolour handprint flags, expressing their love for the country in a heartwarming way.
🔸 Nursery – With joy and enthusiasm, children coloured patriotic images, giving form to their feelings of pride.
🔸 LKG – Using coloured strips, children crafted tricolour soldiers, symbolising strength, unity, and courage.
🔸 UKG – The little ones proudly made tricolour badges with the words “Proud to be an Indian”, wearing their patriotism close to their hearts.
A special PowerPoint presentation was also shown across classes, gently introducing students to the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and helping them understand the value of bravery and sacrifice.
It was a heartwarming and inspiring celebration, where every performance and creation—whether from the stage or the classroom—echoed a powerful message of honour, gratitude, and love for our motherland.
