SMIAP – Students Multiple Intelligence Assessment Programme

We believe that everyone has strengths and weaknesses in various intelligences, which is why as educators we should decide how best to present the course material.

Instructions are designed to help students learn the material in multiple ways that can improve their confidence to develop and strengthen the area of intelligence.

We at New Horizon Public School want to encourage the students to explore, to understand their intelligence to cater to the individual needs of the students.

We have introduced a programme named “SMIAP”. Under the programme we are using multiple intelligence inventory for grades 1 to 10. The programme will give insight to the students, teachers, and parents to identify and work on their strengths in different areas.

An analysed report will be generated for each student highlighting the areas of intelligence which will serve as a guide for parents and teachers.

As the child gets promoted to the next class, the reports will be passed on to the concerned teachers for their reference. The same process of analysing the attributes of the children will continue as long as the child is with NHPS.

A teacher at New Horizon Public School is more than a source of wisdom and knowledge

    Respected Madam,

I am writing this e-mail with immense happiness and gratitude. To see Niharica improve slowly and steadily has given me a lot of confidence that she will do well in her academics even in her higher classes. She now reads very well and independently. She also remembers things better. Her writing has improved as well.

I would like to thank you mam for your patience, understanding and encouragement. I would also thank the school management for having such a set up where the kids can be given special attention to improve in the areas that they are weak in.

Mam, I am sure that with your guidance Niharica will have a wholesome growth. Thank you once again.

    Yours sincerely,
    Malathy
