Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam- A tree as tribute to my mother

In honor of World Environment Day, members of our Rotary Interact Club from grades 8 and 9, along with Green Ambassadors, participated in a tree plantation campaign on June 27, 2024. This initiative supports Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tree plantation campaign, Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam (One Tree for Mother). The students engaged with nature by planting saplings at Jnana Bharathi Bangalore University. They utilized tools such as crowbars, spades, and coconut shells to prepare the soil and plant the trees. Each newly planted sapling was accompanied by a placard displaying the name of the student’s mother, reflecting a personal connection to their efforts.
