Rakshabandhan – A Thread of Love and Togetherness

“Rakshabandhan is not just about tying a thread—it’s about building bonds that last a lifetime.”
At NHPS, Rakshabandhan was celebrated with double the warmth this year—within our classrooms and beyond. On 11 August 2025, our tiny tots marked the festival with great joy and enthusiasm. As part of a class activity, students brought two fresh flowers each and lovingly crafted eco-friendly floral rakhis. With cheerful smiles, they tied these handmade rakhis to their classmates, beautifully symbolising friendship, unity, and kindness.
In a heartfelt extension of this celebration, NHPS students also visited an Army unit, where they tied rakhis to soldiers and handed them letters filled with gratitude and respect. This touching interaction not only brought smiles to the soldiers’ faces but also gave our students a deeper appreciation of the sacrifices made to keep our nation safe.
The celebrations—both in school and at the Army unit—offered our young learners a joyful connection to Indian traditions while nurturing the understanding that bonds of love and care can cross all boundaries.
