A Slice of Heaven on Earth – To the Abode of Ram Lalla and Kashi Viswanath

New Horizon Educational Institution sent its employees on Ayodhya Kashi Yatra this year for the staff who had completed ten years of service. The Management in particular made all efforts to send all staff irrespective of their posts with the same facilities for everyone. Staff from across the eight sister institutions were sent in teams. This gave staff an opportunity to know their colleagues across all campus.

An impressive career spanning nearly four decades, Mr Virupaksha wants to do service at New Horizon Educational Institution as long as he lives. His tone softens a lot with admiration as he speaks dearly of Dr Mohan Manghnani, fondly called as “Chairman Sir” at New Horizon Educational Institution. “First of all, I want to convey my heartfelt gratitude to our Chairman Sir and Renuka Madam for organising this for all the staff. I don’t think any organisation would go so far to take such good care of its employess. I have never dreamed of going to any of these places. But because of the various initiatives at New Horizon, I have been to Pancha Dham, Char Dham, Do Dham, Kashi-Ayodhya recently.”

The team headed to Ayodhya Kashi by flight. After they landed at Lucknow, they went on a bus to Ayodhya for four hours. The team relaxed by singing Bhajans and Antakshari. Once they reached the hotels, all them refreshed and headed out to Hanuman Gadhi which is an ancient temple. They visited Ram Janmabhoomi, They saw a golden pillar, They visted the Rama Darbar, They visted the Kanaka Mahal, Dasharatha Mahal and Siya Rasoi. As Mr Virupaksha went to the Ayodhya Temple, he felt he was in a slice of heaven itself. “I was lost seeing Lord Rama Lalla. I felt so calm and peaceful. I prayed for our dear Chairman Sir and his family as well. He has been sending us all to all the Yatras.” The sculpture of Ram Lalla was amazing. Post this, they visted the Kala Bhairav Temple, Maha Mriyunjaya Temple and Asin Ghat.

On Day Two, Mr Virupaksha was in the holy city of Kashi. They visted many temples along the way. The experience was something beyond words. It was a an experience of faith, of divinity, of togetherness. “I had tears in my eyes and my heart was filled with devotion.” The team had made efforts to wear the same colour while visiting the temples.

“At the Kashi Viswanath Temple, we sang Bhajans, and chanted prayers. We visted an ancient Shiva Temple where Nandi Deva directly see Lord Shiva. Our team took bath in the sacred Ganga river. We did puja to Maa Ganga. We did some shopping too.” This trip, Mr Virupaksha reflected that he would carry in his heart for the rest of his life.

When asked what was the one thing that changed his perspective for life, Mr Virupaksha told, “We have no idea how many days we have to stay on Earth, how long we will stay alive, any moment in life can be unpredictable, From my journey I have understood that Nothing in this world is ours, If we can, we should help few people, If we cannot help, we should refrain from harming anyone. Just entry to Kashi is equal to Mukti, people say in my home, so this must be a great blessing to have visited Kashi.”
